Tairawhiti Enviro Centre
6.8.2020
Kia ora,
I went to the tairawhiti infiro center and had loads of fun, first I got to get a green, white, blue or pink bands, I chose green and then sat on the mat inside, we talked about maori culture and began to go to divergent workshops. First I got to go to were people waste food. The people give it to homeless people , and some people put food that are just on best before in the rubbish and its fine food, so we should biggin to not waste valuable items that farmers work on for hours for, my next workshop was the orchard. We got to taste plants and veggies [my favourite was this yellow plant and if you eat to much you will have nausea. I then went to the next workshop.
This workshop was about compost. We had to do devrient layers of compost, there were green layers that were
: grass, weeds] and there are brown layers that were:[newspaper, cardboard and hay].
The next workshop was a worm farm. There was different compartments, the first one was food for worms. The second compartment was worm poo and drained out all the worm uren into a bucket. We got to hold worms with gluffs and got to sort out stuff that worms eat and don't eat. That is the story and its true.
